First Aid and CPR

    Either American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid and
    CPR training is required for the original issue of a USCG license and it is
    one of the four elements required for STCW 95 Basic Safety Training.
    When used to satisfy the requirements for the original issue of a license
    the training must have been completed no more than one year prior to
    the date of the application.

    First Aid training certificates must be dated within one year of the date of
    the application.

    CPR training certificates must be from the American Red Cross or
    American Heart Association or another USCG approved training program
    and must be dated within one year of the date of the application.

First Aid & CPR course
    Any applicant who has successfully completed your 8-Hour First
    Aid & CPR course will satisfy the Basic Safety - Elementary First Aid
    training requirements of Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-3 of the
    STCW Code and 46 CFR 11.202(b)(3); AND if presented within one
    year of the date of training, the First Aid & CPR training
    requirements of 46 CFR 10.205(e)(1)(ii) and 10.205(e)(2)(iii) for
    original issuance of an officer endorsement.

    Standard First Aid and CPR training provided through Columbia Pacific
    Maritime use the American Red Cross training course. The course can be
    scheduled as a evening course for our license students or as a day class
    for one or more students.
