STCW 95 Visual Communications (Flashing Light)

Demonstration of the ability to read Morse Code sent by flashing light is
required by STCW 95 code (Standards in Training, Certification and
Watchkeeping) for uninspected fishing industry vessel licenses and for
any license with an Oceans route.

To prepare for a flashing light course it is recommended that you
memorize Morse Code (click to view or download Morse Code) as
presented in PUB 102 International Code of Signals.

Freelance Software markets an inexpensive software program for
studying Morse Code and preparing for the Flashing Light exam through
Hawspipe.net called "Blinking Light". Although purchasing this software is
not a requirement to passing a Flashing Light course it is an excellent way
    to prepare.
